Veteran’s Roundtable Meets Tuesday

The Veterans Open Roundtable was organized with the goal of honoring and appreciating our veterans and getting a chance for the public to hear and learn first hand about serving our country. The next gathering will be Tuesday, October 10 at 7PM at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Darlene Witthans will be the guest speaker. She was stationed in Tokyo in the early 70’s and will share her experience working as a disc jockey.

Other guest speakers scheduled in this series include Jon A McSweeney who served in the Navy for 20 years and about 4 U.S. Navy ships. He’ll speak on November 14.

On December 12, Arlin Leder will talk about his service as an Air Force flight statistician in the 1950’s.

January 9, 2018 is the date that Darrel Michels is scheduled to talk about his service with the Army Security Agency in the early 1960’s.

The Roundtable is free and open to the public.
