Highway 14 Groundbreaking and Other Owatonna Road Work

A construction company based in east-central Minnesota has been awarded the contract for the highly anticipated expansion of Highway 14 from Dodge Center to Owatonna.

I-35 South of Owatonna now has all lanes open, according to a media release from MNDOT.

You will likely have more success finding road construction than a lunker this fishing-opening weekend in Minnesota. Many projects continue and others are beginning.

If you are a regular user of I-35W in the Twin Cities, as I am, there will be some headaches tonight and Thursday.

MNDOT announced Tuesday, 7 construction grants for 2018. The grants amount to over $18 million dollars. 3 of the projects are in the Twin Cities Metro area.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation announces that plans are now in place for the demolition of the Steele County Road 31 bridge over I-35 starting Monday night, August 28.

New bridge decks and reinforcement work is scheduled for Steele County Highways 18 and 31 bridges. The Highway 31 bridge is slated to close on Monday, August 14. The bridge will be demoed during the overnight hours of Monday, August 21. This will result in a closing of I-35  from 8PM on August 21 until around 8AM August 22...
