The Steele County Corn and Soybean Growers will hold their annual meeting this morning at the VFW in Owatonna. There will be a short business meeting and then the speakers. Lisa Behnken will be there to talk about weed management and resistance; there will be a talk on using the new Round-Up ready 2 Xtend technology. In addition, Gordy Kralovetz from Chiodo Commodities will talk about the markets. To wrap up the program there will be a lunch.

All corn and soybean growers in Steele County are welcome to attend and it is free. I get to a number of county corn and soybean growers annual meetings and all of them ask speakers to come in to make it kind of an educational event too. Farming is always changing and at times it seems difficult to keep up with everything. On the other hand, that is what makes it exciting too!
