If you're looking to check out a new Christmas romantic comedy this holiday season, you can now watch a new movie that was filmed just up the road in Hudson, Wisconsin.

When it comes to holiday movies and specials, there are the classics like White Christmas, It's A Wonderful Life, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation and others. And now there's a NEW Christmas romantic comedy movie that's streaming this holiday season-- and this one was filmed entirely in nearby Hudson, Wisconsin last winter.

It's called 'A Christmas Wish in Hudson,' and was produced by Nicely Entertainment. It's streaming right now on The Roku Channel. And if you like any of the holiday movies on Lifetime or the Hallmark Channel, it looks like you'll probably like this movie, as well.

According to Nicely Entertainment's Facebook page, here's what 'A Christmas Wish in Hudson' is about:

When an unlucky-in-love software developer travels to a small town in Wisconsin to meet a widowed firefighter she saw compete on a TV cooking show, she gets help from his daughter, who believes she's the answer to her Christmas wish—for her dad to find someone to love.

And, yes, it was filmed entirely on-location in Hudson, Wisconsin (just east of the Twin Cities, about an hour and a half northeast of Rochester) last February. This story in the Hudson Star Observer says filmmakers wanted to film the movie during the holidays last year, but there wasn't any snow. So, they waited until after it snowed in February-- and asked businesses in Hudson if they could keep their holiday decorations up until filming was done.

Of course, this isn't the first Christmas movie filmed here in our neck of the woods. Last year, the Lifetime movie 'The Christmas Listing,' filmed its scenes at the Erickson Farmstead in Isanti.
