The largest jackpot in the history of the Mega Millions lottery game has yet to be claimed and time is running short for the person who bought the ticket in South Carolina for the Oct. 23rd drawing.

The jackpot was worth $1.54-billion - $1.54 BILLION! Under South Carolina lottery law, the winner has to turn in the winning ticket by April 19th. South Carolina will receive $61-million if the ticket is turned in by then - or lose that revenue if it isn’t.

A much, much smaller lottery prize will expire this week in Minnesota if the lucky person doesn’t turn in the winning ticket.

A Powerball ticket sold in Falcon Heights won a $150,000 prize. The ticket has to be turned in by Thursday or the winner can kiss that $$$ goodbye.

By the way, the grand prizes for the Mega Millions and Powerball games have rolled again and large jackpots are up for grabs in both games. The Mega Millions grand prize currently stands at $206-million. The next drawing is Tuesday.

The Powerball jackpot has grown to $282-million and will go up for grabs Wednesday.
