Owatonna volleyball goes to Northfield on Tuesday for a Big Nine match at 7PM against the red hot Raiders (8-1). Radio coverage can be heard on Kat Kountry 105FM.

The only loss Northfield has suffered this season came against top-five ranked Lakeville South during the Southwest Minnesota Challenge Tournament in Marshall over the weekend. The Raiders went 4-1 and captured ninth place. The Huskies were also in Marshall, going 2-3. OHS is 2-6 on the season. Northfield is 1-0 in the Big Nine. Owatonna is 0-1. Northfield topped the Huskies 3-2 in their regular season match last year.

In other Big Nine matches Tuesday, Faribault is at Winona on Power 96 Radio, Mankato East plays at Rochester Mayo, Austin is at Mankato West, Rochester Century goes to Albert Lea and Rochester JM travels to Red Wing.

In local volleyball Tuesday, Triton is at Pine Island, Medford plays at Lyle-Pacelli and NRHEG hosts Le Sueur-Henderson.

On Monday, Blooming Prairie swept Randolph 25-11, 25-15, 25-11. Sam Wurst led the team with six kills. Marissa Larson and Kylie Forystek each added four. Leah Inwards had 16 assists and 11 digs to go along with three kills. Coach Ranell Kittelson said, "Tonight was an exciting game. The girls came out with a lot of energy and determination."

Also on the Tuesday sports calendar for Owatonna is boys soccer at home with Winona at 7PM and girls tennis is home against Faribault at 4:30PM. OHS girls soccer goes to Winona for a 7PM match and the girls swimmers face Rochester Century at the John Marshall pool at 6:30PM.
