The Owatonna High School girls' tennis team opens the Section 1AA tournament on Tuesday at home. Soccer and football are in their final week of the regular season.

The Huskies host Austin in the girls tennis tournament at 4PM Tuesday at the OHS courts. Owatonna swept the Packers last week 7-0. An Owatonna win would mean another home match on Thursday. Top 10-ranked Rochester Mayo is the No. 1 seed. Northfield is second.

Owatonna's boys soccer club blanked Mankato East 3-0 on Monday in a make-up match. The Huskies host Red Wing on Tuesday at 7PM at the Lincoln Soccer Complex. Thursday Owatonna goes to Austin. The Huskies are the top team in Section 1AA in the QRF rankings. OHS (7-1-1 in the Big Nine) are second in the conference standings behind Rochester Mayo (6-0-2). Playoffs begin October 15. The Huskies have been to the section finals three straight years, advancing to state in 2012 and 2013.

Owatonna girls soccer wraps up their regular season with a road game at Red Wing on Tuesday and a home match against Austin on Thursday at 7PM at the Lincoln complex. The Huskies are fourth in the QRF standings in Section 1AA and third in the Big Nine. Lakeville North is the top-ranked team in the state coach's poll and is in the same section.

Owatonna football (6-1) closes out the regular season Friday night hosting Rochester Century (2-5) at 7PM. The Huskies are the top team in Section 1-5A. The QRF rankings will be used to seed the section. Fareway Foods is hosting tailgating from 4-7PM Friday with all proceeds benefiting Owatonna High School football. Owatonna Foundation will be at the game giving away prizes at halftime.

Owatonna's volleyball plays a pair of road matches this week. Tuesday they are at Faribault, with the radio play-by-play on Power 96 radio. Thursday the Huskies are at Northfield with the coverage on KRFO AM 1390. The Huskies are sixth in the Section 1AAA standings, just in front of Northfield. No. 3-ranked Lakeville South is the top team in the section.
