Owatonna boys basketball had a big second half to pull away from Century 76-49 in Rochester on Tuesday. The OHS girls started strong and sailed away with a 69-32 win.

The Owatonna boys led by just seven points at halftime but pulled away for the 27-point victory, their 11th win in their past 12 games. Dalton Kubista scored 27, which included four three-pointers. Andrew Jackson added 11. The Huskies forced 21 turnovers and out-rebounded Century 38-19. Owatonna (14-4 overall, 12-3 Big Nine) hosts conference-leading Rochester John Marshall on Friday night, then entertains Red Wing in a makeup game Saturday night.

Owatonna's girls jumped out to a 15-0 lead at home on their way to a one-sided 69-32 victory. Syd Schultz scored 18. Jenna Zeman had 16. The Huskies (15-5, 13-4) go to Rochester John Marshall on Friday night.

The Huskies boys hockey squad dropped a 4-1 decision at South St. Paul on Tuesday. OHS goes to Faribault on Thursday before a key section game Saturday afternoon against Rochester Century.
