There are plenty of groups and artists that have multiple hits. There are just as many that have only one or two hits.

Let's start with The Cuff Links' No. 9 hit, "Tracy," in 1969. The second hit for The Cuff Links, hitting No. 41, was "When Julie Comes Around." The vocals were provided entirely by Ron Dante, who was also behind the No. 1 hit by The Archies, "Sugar, Sugar."

Dante's vocals were recorded as lead, doubled a few times and put in multiple backgrounds. He recorded four or five songs for one album in one day.

A seven-member touring band was created with Pat Rizzo (saxophone), Rich Dimino (keyboards), Bob Gill (trumpet, flughorn, flute), Dave Lavender (guitar), Andrew "Junior" Denno (bass), Joe Cord (vocals), Danny Valentine (drums). Dante instead continued to work with The Archies to exclude the outside work.

The Cuff Links continue to record and tour. "Run Sally Run" peaked at No. 76 in 1970. The follow-up, "Robin's World," appeared on the charts.

The Archies, a cartoon garage band featuring Archie, Reggie, Jughead, Veronica, Betty and Hot Dog also had a No. 10 hit with "Jingle Jangle." The cartoon aired from 1968-78. Though the group no longer appears in animation, The Archies are still available in comic books. Growing up I remember reading those along with Richie Rich and others that I cannot remember.
