The Faribault Sno-Go Club, with the Minnesota DNR, is sponsoring youth snowmobile safety training. Students need to be 12-15, or turn 12 before Feb. 15, 2017.

The course requires attendance at both classroom sessions, successful completion of the Minnesota DNR online coursework, and a driving test for certification. Access to a computer, the internet and a printer is required. Codes to the DNR online safety course will be given to students on Nov. 7, and are included in the course fee. The online coursework must be finished by the Nov. 21 class. It is mandatory for parents to attend the first half-hour of class on Nov. 7. The snowmobile driving test portion will be administered once adequate snow cover allows. Preregistration at www.sno-go.com is encouraged.

Meets Nov. 7 and 21. Birth certificate is required at check-in.

Nov. 7: 6:15PM, check-in and registration; class is 6:30-8:45PM.
Nov. 21: Class is 6:30-8:45PM.

Class is at Faribault Public Works and Parks Facility, 1200 Belview Trail, Faribault. The fee is $10.
