Additional Information

Our goal is to promote the safety and education of firearms while providing the experience in a safe, friendly, informal and informative environment.

This event came from the love of the sport and a way to get more women involved in shooting sports because it's fun!

The first event held at the "20" Rifle & Pistol Club was in 2012 and we had 25 gals show up. We've grown the number to 45 to 50+. We've had gals from 11 to 82 come out for this. Never had anyone say they didn't have a good time and they always learn something they didn't know. Many come back every year and bring someone new.

Weather is always a factor because we hold this outdoors.

We provide certified safety instructors along with an assortment of guns, ammo, eye and ear protection for those who don't have their own. All of the ammo used is donated by the instructors and myself for those who don't have their own.

We have .22 handguns/rifles, .9mm, .380, .40, .45, .38 and .357. We also have access to some AR-15's, which the girls seem to love. We also shoot revolvers.

The most common gun the gals want to shoot, especially for those just starting or for the gal that wants one but hasn't made her decision yet, seems to be the .22s and the 9mm.

We also have awesome sponsors such as COONAN, Cabela's, Ahlman's, Scheel's, Hoo-Ahhs and Fastenal. All of these provide items for prizes and we provide a free lunch.

We are always looking to enhance our event with any sponsorship or donations especially from local vendors, as it shows local support for the gals and for what we are trying to accomplish.

The '20" Rifle & Pistol Club is where our event is hosted every year and we thank them for their support.
