The Owatonna Steele County Amateur Radio (OSCAR) will have a Field Day on Saturday, June 27 at 1PM until Sunday, June 28 at 1PM. This takes place at Willow Creek School, 1050 22nd St. NE in Owatonna.
Field Day is an opportunity to demonstrate how Amateur Radio might serve in an emergency.
Amateur Radio supports Steele County through Emergency Management and several volunteer groups including:
- RACES/ARES - Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service
- Skywarn - Storm spotters
- CERT - Community Emergency Response Team
