Additional Information

Classically trained violinist and songwriter Gaelynn Lea is coming to Trowbridge Park in Waseca to play a solo set of her haunting music on June 6 for the Waseca Public Library Summer Concert Series.

Lea's work most recently won NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest in March 2016, a competition drawing submissions of original songs from more than 6,000 musicians across the country. Lea’s musical reach quickly expanded because of the Tiny Desk Contest. She began touring nationally in September 2016, and in December 2016 she performed in Europe for the first time as support for Low’s Christmas tour. This will be her first time performing in Waseca.

Lea and her husband Paul and I have traveled to 37 states and 5 countries so far; she has performed over 150 shows since they hit the road back in October. This performance starts at 6PM and is free and open to all ages.
