Additional Information

A benefit omelet breakfast and raffle has been arranged at the American Legion in Faribault to benefit Todd Magnuson. The breakfast is Sunday, March 19, from 8 AM to noon. Presale tickets are available, otherwise they can be purchased at the door. Tickets are $9 for adults (13 and older), $5 (6-12), and free for children younger than 5 with an adult ticket. The raffle will include handmade items from North Memorial employees and items donated from community businesses. A GoFundMe account has also been established for those wishing to donate but who are unable to attend the breakfast.

Todd Magnuson, 51, grew up and lives in Zumbrota. Todd is a paramedic for North Memorial Ambulance in Faribault. He has been with North Memorial for 12 years, first working in Burnett County, Wis. Todd has been in EMS for 18 years and has also worked for AMR in Missouri and Zumbrota Ambulance. Todd is also a veteran and served with the U.S. Army from 1986-89. He was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas, and Germany during his service as a 19K Tank Crewman. He enjoys swimming, golfing and camping in his free time.

Todd has been diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver as of early last year. He has been on a leave of absence from North Memorial, and unable to work since July 2016. Todd receives his treatment at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis. He commutes twice a week for his paracentesis treatments. He was also just recently placed on the list for a liver transplant, which is what he definitively needs. All proceeds will go to assist Todd directly with his out-of-pocket costs for medication, insurance, travel and lodging during his medical treatment.

If you are interested in purchasing a ticket in advance, donating, or contributing to the raffle, please contact Justin at (712) 260-8631 or visit the American Legion in Faribault.
