The Owatonna Elks Lodge will host former North Dakota hockey coach Dean Blais on Monday May 12 as a benefit their support on community youth activities.

Dean Blais is a native of International Falls, MN. He played college hockey at the University of MN and went on to play in the NHL. Blais coached high school hockey in Minnesota and North Dakota before becoming the head coach at the University of North Dakota. He led the team-formerly-known-as-the-Sioux to a pair of national championships. Blais currently coaches at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and for the US men's national junior ice hockey team. Blais also garnered some national attention when a photograph was shown on the Late Show with Dave Letterman for a segment called, "Guys who look like Dave."
