3 local golfers finish in Top 10

Triton sophomore Jaden Thiemann was 4th - one stoke from tying for the state title. OHS junior Peter Jones & Cobra junior Zach Otto each finished 7th.

STATE AAA GOLF AT BUNKER HILLS

OHS junior Peter Jones shot 76-72 over the two day tournament. His 148 put him in 7th place. The winner (Chris Captain from Rochester Century) shot 142. Jones, a future Minnesota Golden Gopher, was the state runner-up in 2013.

Owatonna senior Kenzie Soukup shot 81-80 for a 161 and a 19th place finish. The low score was a blazing 135 from a New Prague golfer.

STATE AA TOURNAMENT AT RIDGES AT SAND CREEK IN JORDAN

Triton sophomore Jaden Thiemann- in his second state tournament - shot 74-71 for a 145 total for a 4th place finish. A trio of golfers shared the title with 144's. The Cobra's Zach Otto (jr) shot 76-71 for a 147 and 7th place finish.

STATE CLASS A GOLF AT PEBBLE CREEK IN BECKER

Blooming Prairie freshman Tommy Braaten followed up his opening round 80 with an 83. His 163 total was good for 14th place. The winner shot 150. B.P. senior Victor Peterson shot 85-85, for a 170 total and 31st place finish.

Blossoms freshman Taylor Christianson shot 100 on Wednesday after her 95 on Tuesday. The 195 was good for 40th place.
