The Biggest Lunar Eclipse This Century, and We Won’t Be Able to See It
It is being advertised as the longest lunar eclipse this century, and the moon is supposed to look blood red. I would love to see it, however, it won't even be visible in our part of the world. I am actually disappointed that I won't be able to see this in my backyard.
Now, we aren't even a quarter of the way through this century yet, so I am thinking that calling this eclipse the longest this century is a bit premature. Although, the experts are saying that it may only be a few minutes longer. You never know what could happen in the next 80 some years.
Although we are not able to see this, not without some expensive travel to other side of the world, there are sites online where you are able to stream the eclipse in its entirety.
"Skywatchers can witness the eclipse in parts of South America, the Middle East, eastern Africa and central Asia. The sky show will not be visible from North America, but there's still a way to catch all the action surrounding the "blood moon" online. NBC News will be hosting a livestream"
Well, if that's how I have to watch the eclipse, that is what I will have to do. Maybe the next one will be in our area, and I can sit in my backyard to enjoy it live and in person.
