Owatonna Post 77 swept a doubleheader from Waseca on Tuesday. The Bullpen Club recently accepted a donation from Cash Wise Foods of Owatonna.

Owatonna's VFW baseball team went 2-2 at the Battle of Omaha over the weekend. The Aces amateur team won at Winona on Sunday after dropping a home game versus Rochester on Friday.

The season opened with a win for the Owatonna Post 77 Legion baseball team 6-4 over Faribault. The Owatonna VFW team came out on top 4-2.

The Huskies took the top seed and Big Nine champ Northfield down to the wire in the section finals Tuesday in Red Wing, falling 4-3 on a bottom of the seventh run by the Raiders.

The Owatonna High School baseball team will play for a section title on Tuesday. But they will have to beat Northfield twice to win the championship and advance to state.

The Huskies and Raiders have some recent history. Northfield has knocked Owatonna from the section tournament in each of the past two years. But that's history.

The Jacks built a 5-1 lead at Fuller Field at Dartt's Park on Wednesday night, then held off the Aces for a 5-4 victory.

Dynamic defense led Owatonna past Hasings 9-6 on Memorial Day. The Huskies are 3-0 in the playoffs and will face Big Nine champ and top seed Northfield on Saturday at Red Wing.

A pair of Owatonna pitchers combined on a two-hitter in a 5-1 win over Rochester JM Saturday in Section 1AAA baseball. Medford dropped a pair of games and was knocked from 1A.

Owatonna softball beat Austin in their playoff opener Wednesday, then lost to Hastings. Huskies baseball hosts Winona on Thursday to open the section playoffs.
