The Lakers will travel to #4 seed St. Benedict on Saturday, August 6, 2022 for a 2:00 p.m. start to open Region 3C action.

Tuesday the Lakers host Webster at 7:30 p.m.

Faribault dropped their record to 10-11 while Montgomery improved to 13-9. In DRS action the Mallards are 12-7, Lakers 8-7 according to the schedule listing on the Minnesota Baseball Association website.

During Senior awards night Nelson was chosen the Bruce Smith Award recipient which goes to an outstanding athlete who is also a contributor in the community. Devin Lockerby received the Male Athlete of the Year award. He was a standout in football, played basketball and is a thrower on the track and field team. State participant in Gymnastics Lauren McDonough was named Female Athlete of the Year. The AAUW Sportswoman of the year is Whitten Wolff, participant in volleyball and track and field. The AAUW award is the female equivalent to Bruce Smith.

Junior pitcher Ayden Qualey scattered 5 hits while going the distance for the Falcons. Qualey struck out 6, walked 2.

The Falcons are at Stewartville Saturday 11:00 a.m.

North Branch came into the game on a two game win streak. They are coached by former Faribault Falcon Steve Christensen.

Tobin will be pursuing a degree in engineering. He says the main reason he chose Wartburg was their excellent engineering program.

The big play Faribault team was susceptible to giving up big plays themselves.

#2 rated Hutchinson defeated St. Peter 49-12 and by virtue of their top seed in Section 2AAAA will host Faribault Friday, November 5, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on POWER 96 Radio, POWER 96 app.
