In the face crack of the century, five more women were added to the mix on ABC's The Bachelor on Monday night. Matt James now has even more women fighting for his attention and heart. One of them is a teacher from Edina, Minnesota.

Michelle, the 27-year-old teacher hopped out of the limo in a stunning nude and black sequin illusion dress to greet her potential new love interest with a smile. Matt asked where she was from, and then immediately noticed he couldn't pick up her Minnesota accent. She assured him that it would come out soon enough. Thank goodness he didn't have the audacity to ask her to say "bag" or "roof".

Michelle has been added to the official ABC site for the show, and here is what we know about her:

  • She is a former Division I basketball player
  • She teaches elementary school
  • Michelle describes herself as loyal, compassionate and supportive, and shows love through acts of service.
  • Dream man is confident, not cocky, and someone to be there for her.
  • Wants an equal partnership
  • Into hiking, wine tasting, ice cream taste testing, and her favorite restaurants are local food trucks.

Even though I'm nervous about a new batch of girls being introduced mid-season, I'm digging Michelle. Matt seemed to think the same way, Michelle had him laughing up a storm during their first conversation. He also gave her a rose in the ceremony following her entrance.

Michelle also got a one-on-one date with Matt, and naturally, it didn't sit right with the girls who had been there for weeks. Her date consisted of a scavenger hunt put together by host Chris Harrison. There was zip-lining, popping balloons with giant safety pins, a hot air balloon ride, and dinner amongst some really cool classic cars.

Michelle seems like a smart girl that has a good head on her shoulders, has a good job that she loves, and she seems like someone I would totally want to spend time with. I think I have a new favorite contestant.
