If you are like most people, you’ve probably got at least one room or part of your home where there are things you keep that you hardly use.

They could be on a shelf, or in a box, in a closet or just lying around. My wife and I have moved six times in the last 10 years, and two of the heaviest boxes or tubs we have are filled with books.

My wife is a “reader”, but even though I’m not a “reader”, we both have accumulated a number of books. My goal is to hopefully go through that box soon and eliminate a number of those books, so I don’t have to lift those heavy box one more time.

If you are like my wife and I, I just came across a great place to take those books you no longer need, the Becker branch of the Greater River Regional Library.  

The "Friends of the Library" will be holding their annual used Book Sale on June 6th and they’re looking for gently used books to add to the list of ones they could sell.

The monies made from this book sale will go back to the library for the programs and resources that the library offers to the community.  

So many families and residents rely on community connections, like the ones from the local library, to help engage, educate and entertain their families. Especially when families are having to spend so much money on necessities, the library is a good resource for families.
