The Minnesota Twins are getting ready to launch their 2024 regular season in just a few days. So just how expensive is catching a Twins' game here in Minnesota compared to other teams?
After breaking that 20-year playoff losing streak last fall, excitement about the Minnesota Twins 2024 season has been building all across the Land of 10,000 Lakes. The Twins have been getting ready during Spring Training down in Fort Meyers, Florida and will play their season opener on March, 28th in Washington, D.C. against the Nationals.
But their home opener at Target Field in Minneapolis is ALWAYS a big party and celebration. It's set for Thursday, April 4th this year, as the Twins host the Cleveland Guardians, with the first pitch set for 3:10 pm CDST.

So if you're heading to a game at Target Field, just how much can you expect to spend this season-- and how does that cost compare to other teams? That's the question the crew over at bookies.com set to find out.
For the second year in a row, bookies.com surveyed all 30 Major League Baseball (MLB) stadiums to figure out the true cost of catching a game-- and found out that seeing your favorite team this season will be an expensive undertaking:
On average, families will spend $180.54 on four of the cheapest available tickets, a parking spot, two beers, two sodas, and four hot dogs.
That's the average of all 30 MLB teams. But how does watching the Twins at Target Field here in the Bold North compare? According to bookies.com, the Twins rank 18th out of the 30 MLB teams this season, with the total cost of attending a game in Minnesota coming in at $160.50 for a family of four. Here's how it breaks down:
COST OF ATTENDING A TWINS GAME AT TARGET FIELD
- Four cheapest tickets - $107.00
- Cheapest lot parking - $20.00
- Two 16-ounce beers - $12.50
- Two 20-ounce sodas - $5.00
- Four hot dogs $16.00
TOTAL COST: $160.50
While you can (and likely will) spend way more than that at a Twins game, it appears those costs were computed using the Twins' 'Family-Friendly' Pricing section, based on 2023 prices. (Specific prices and concession items for 2024 haven't yet been announced.)
