Rice County Commissioners Approve French Lake Project
The Rice County Board of Commissioners today approved accepting a grant to fund a water quality improvement project on French Lake.
Julie Runkel, Environmental Services Director told commissioners the county received a $150,000 grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to address water quality concerns.
Commissioners also approved 169 parcels around Circle Lake for special assessments of $300 dollars each.
Sheriff Jesse Thomas requested acceptance of a 2024 Federal Boating Safety Supplemental Equipment Grant which his department applied for.
They requested several items.
Commissioners unanimously approved accepting the federal grant.
In addition the County Board approved the purchase of pickups from Harry Brown's Automotive in Faribault for the Parks and Facilities and Solid Waste Departments.
