Racine, MN (KROC-AM News)- A portion of Hwy. 63 in southeast Minnesota's Mower County was briefly closed Tuesday morning after a milk truck crashed into a power pole.

Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson said the crash was reported shortly before 6:20 a.m. It happened south of the intersection of Hwy. 63 and Main St. in Racine.

 Christianson said the preliminary investigation indicates the milk truck was traveling south on the two-lane highway when it went through the northbound lane, entered the east ditch and struck the power pole. The collision caused the power lines to fall across the roadway, which prompted the temporary closure.

Christianson says no injuries were reported at the scene. The milk truck operator’s name has not been released.

The crash remains an open and ongoing investigation.  Christianson says the State Patrol is conducting a post inspection of the milk truck.
