Chanhassen, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension responded Saturday to a western Twin Cities suburb after a man with a knife was shot by law enforcement officers.

The Carver County Sheriff's Office says the officer involved shooting was reported shortly after 2 PM in Chanhassen. A preliminary investigation found that Carver County deputies responded to a 911 call involving a domestic incident and found themselves in a confrontation with an armed man.

The report says the deputies were speaking with the woman who made the 911 call when an adult male came out of the residence and approached the deputies with a knife. The Sheriff's Office says the deputies ordered the man to drop the knife, but he "continued to quickly advance on the deputies."
