Alcohol Use Suspected in Southeast Minnesota Injury Crash
Blooming Prairie, MN (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol suspects alcohol was involved in an injury crash in southeast Minnesota Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. One vehicle was involved.
The state crash report says an SUV was traveling north on Hwy. 218 when it lost control and entered the ditch. The vehicle left the road between Blooming Prairie and Austin.
The driver has been identified as 43-year-old Jayna Mae Aldrich of Blooming Prairie. She was taken from the scene to a hospital in Austin with what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Alcohol was involved in the crash and Aldrich was wearing her seatbelt, the report says. The two-lane highway was described as dry at the time of the crash.
The Steele County Sheriff’s Office, Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Blooming Prairie Ambulance, Blooming Prairie Police Department and Blooming Prairie also responded to the crash.
