Did You Know that Minnesota Has It’s Own Waterski Team?
If you travel to Wisconsin Dells, or if you did when you were a kid, you may remember the Tommy Bartlett water shows. They were so cool to watch, with all of the basic acrobatics on the water. It was fun. But that can be a bit far to travel to see a show like that.
I don't know how I didn't know this before, but there is a competitive waterski team right here in Minnesota. And they perform for FREE every week. It's the Twin Cities River Rats, and they have been performing since the early 80s. But they were established in the late 70s.
Now, they compete regularly, and they also put on themed shows with fun costumes each week on Thursday nights.
People who attend the shows are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on. Concessions are available, and there is even a VIP area. Those seats are not free. But if you want to reserve those seats, you can do that on their website.
If you love watching waterski teams perform, there is also the Little Crow Ski Team. They perform throughout the summer at Neer Park in New London. These shows are not free, but they are not too unaffordable, either.
The Little Crow Ski Team also performs in some surrounding towns for special occasions. These are some of those shows listed on their website.
