Habitat for Humanity of Steele-Waseca Groundbreaking
The Habitat for Humanity of Steele-Waseca Area will host a ground breaking for their 25th home. The public is invited to 563 Glendale St. in Owatonna at 5:30PM Thursday, June 8. The newest homeowners will be Dessa and Calvin Chambers and their four children.
After the groundbreaking, the public is invited to Habitat's annual meeting. It's set to begin at 6:30PM on Thursday at the Baymont Inn and Suites of Owatonna. The 2017 homebuyer family will be introduced. There will also be a Board of Directors nomination and election of board officers. The Volunteer of the Year will be recognized as well.
Those who are in need of decent affordable housing and have the ability to pay an affordable mortgage are encouraged to stop in and fill out a prequalification form for the Habitat's Homeownership Program. The prequalification forms are available at the Habitat for Humanity office, 108 W. Vine Street in Owatonna.
