COVID-19: Hospitalizations in MN Continue to Fall
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The number of people hospitalized and the number of ICU beds in use due to the coronavirus pandemic continues to drop.
The Minnesota Department of Health today reported there are currently a total of 369 people hospitalized in the state with COVID-19 infections and 186 are in intensive care. The overall total is the lowest since May 1st and the number of ICU beds used by COVID-19 patients is the lowest since April 27th.
311 new COVID-19 infections were confirmed by the over 9000 tests that were completed yesterday in Minnesota. Olmsted County only saw 4 new infections.
15 additional coronavirus-related deaths were reported today, which raised the overall death toll from the pandemic in Minnesota to just under 1300. Just over 26,000 Minnesotans have recovered from the illness and no longer require hospitalization.
