The halfway point is here for the Minnesota high school football season. After going undefeated the first half Cannon Falls is on top of Class 3A, Lakeville South on top in Class 6A, and Blooming Prairie #1 in Class 2A.

Proof football in southern Minnesota still draws crowds is in the latest rankings.  The South Suburban teams are dominating in the largest school division 6A.

In addition to Lakeville South in the top spot.  Shakopee is #3, Rosemount #5, Prior Lake is #8.

In Class 5A  Mankato West has been ranked #1 all season.  Rochester Mayo is #6.

Becker is still #1 in Class 4A.  Stewartville is #5,  Kasson-Mantorville (Faribault's opponent this week) is #7.

The Falcons and Albert Lea (I know I did a double take also) received votes but didn't crack the top 10 in 4A.

Lake City is now #2 in 3A, Plainview, Elgin-Millville #8.  Waseca is in others receiving votes.

Blooming Prairie is joined in Class 2A by Chatfield in others receiving votes.

Class 1A Rushford-Peterson is #9.

In nine man Lanesboro is #3, Leroy-Ostrander #10.  Grand Meadow and Spring Grove received votes.
