Winter Storm Watch

The Winter Storm Warning begins at midnight Thursday and is set to expire at 9 am Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from 6:00 pm Thursday through midnight Friday night for a portion of southern Minnesota.

The storm is predicted to arrive Monday evening.

The National Weather Service continues to predict a nasty weekend weatherwise in southeastern Minnesota.

The latest forecasting models appear to be shifting the highest risk for heavy snow on Sunday to the west.

After anywhere from 3-6" around the area Thursday night and this morning, our attention now turns to the next system coming in, expecting to bring us a lot more snow.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the entire area tonight. Steady snow will overspread the area by this evening. The snow could be heavy at times before ending late tonight.

At this time, a Blizzard Warning is in effect from 6AM Tuesday, Feb. 2 to 6AM Wednesday, Feb. 3, according to noaa.gov. A Blizzard Warning means expect snowy and windy conditions that will lead to poor visibilities due to whiteout conditions...
