The state jobs report for August continues to highlight Rochester's job growth.

The latest jobs data from the state shows Rochester has added more than 7600 jobs during the past year.

The month of June saw new records for the number of jobs and workers in the Rochester area.

The statewide job growth rate was only about 1.1%.

The updated jobs data from the state shows job growth rates in other Minnesota metro areas were all below 1% last month.

The local job growth rate is more than four times higher than the statewide average.

At the same time, the local unemployment rate remains low, but it's the highest it's been since the summer of 2021.

The job growth rate for the Rochester area last month was more than 10 times higher than the statewide rate.

A recent state report showed the Rochester area continues to have the hottest job market in Minnesota.

Revisions to the 2024 data contributed to the increase.
