Pine Island Baseball

There was one class in Minnesota high school baseball from 1947 until 1975. Two classes started in 1976. Expanded to 3 classes in 2000 and the current 4 classes in 2016.

Action resumes Tuesday in Rochester, Dundas, Austin. Section 1A and 1AAA title tilt in Austin. Section 1AA in Rochester and Section 1AAAA in Dundas.

Hayfield, Zumbrota-Mazeppa, Cannon Falls, New Prague are still in their section class winner's bracket,

#3 seed Cannon Falls (18-4) will play #4 seed LaCrescent (17-6), 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Mayo Field. That game will be broadcast on POWER 96 Radio, 95.9 FM and FREE POWER 96 app.

The win keeps Kenyon-Wanamingo in first place in the Gopher Conference tied with NRHEG and United South Central.

Faribault has a home game with Northfield Monday at 5:00 p.m.

Kenyon-Wanamingo is scheduled to host Dover-Eyota Friday at 4:30 p.m. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown is off until Monday when they go to Wells to compete against United South Central at 5:00 p.m.

Medford is 1-2 in Gopher Conference action, 1-3 overall. Blooming Prarie dropped to 0-5 overall, 0-4 in league play.

The Hayfield Vikings are 21-2 and will face Southland (17-7) Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. The game is scheduled for broadcast on KDHL 920 AM, 97.9 FM, FREE KDHL app.

Thursday at 5pm Faribault goes to Red Wing.
