Owatonna school

Students in and around Owatonna will have another option for the schooling beginning in the fall.

Progress is advancing at several Owatonna schools, with an indication that most of the work will be done by the time students return to class in the fall.

At their recent meeting, the Owatonna School Board approved changes to the elementary school boundaries to go into effect in fall 2017.

The Owatonna School Board is conducting an online survey in their search for the next superintendent in 2017. The survey went live Monday and remains active until August 5.

The Owatonna School Board heard from Wold Architects at their July 11 meeting regarding renovations at Willow Creek and the junior high building.

The Owatonna School Board this week approved the plan for a Nov. 3 vote on a $78 million referendum. A sports complex question is not part of the proposal.
