The KoMets will go up against Byron Saturday for the right to go to the MSHSL State Volleyball Tournament next week at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Faribault goes to Kasson-Mantorville while Byron goes to Stewartville Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

Let the playoff matches begin.

The regular season ends this week with final tournaments on Saturday. Most Section seeds will be revealed on Sunday.

KDHL Radio will have the Gopher Conference showdown between Bethlehem Academy and Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Tuesday in Waterville on the airwaves. 920 AM, 97.9 FM and FREE KDHL app.

Faribault Bethlehem Academy is still #4, Mabel-Canton #5, Kenyon-Wanamingo #6, Spring Grove #9 in the smallest schools Class A.

There are 4 teams in the top 9 in the smallest schools class from Section 1 which includes Bethlehem Academy and Kenyon-Wanamingo. Fillmore Central is also receiving votes. Five teams from the Hiawatha Valley League are also among the state's elite in their respective classes.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown remained undefeated in Gopher Conference play with a 3-2 escape against Triton in Dodge Center.

The Northfield Raiders have defeated every team on their schedule to date to get to their 9-0 record including a few South Suburban Conference teams like #3 Class 4A Lakeville North, #10 Class 4A Lakeville South, Eagan and Farmington. They also beat #7 Chaska.
