Football season consumes a great deal of a coaches time, but one area coach makes time for a special tradition with his wife each week.

It was a school record for points in a game at Cannon Falls and came against the top ranked team in the state in Class 3A.

Cannon Falls closes their season at top ranked Lake City Wednesday night. They are both in the same section so this is more than likely for the top seed and a first round bye in the 7 team Section 1AAA.

Every class except 9-Man has at least one tie.

BA Head Coach Jim Beckmann told KDHL on the Faribault Coaches Show at Bashers FariBowl Center Saturday he was particularly pleased with his team's containment of K-W running back Joshua Schmidt. The Knights leading rusher was held to 19 yards on 13 carries.

The Bombers go to LaCrescent next Friday before finishing the season against state ranked Plainview-Elgin-Millville at home on Friday, October 15, 2021 and going to Lake City Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

The featured game this week on KDHL is Cannon Falls homecoming game against Zumbrota-Mazeppa.

The Falcons opponent this week Stewartville is rated #9 in Class 4A.

The schedule says Hayfield hosts Fillmore Central Saturday at 3:00 p.m. while BA hosts Randolph at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

Faribault is now 2-0. They go to Stewartville next week to play against the Tigers.
