Minnesota Basketball News has released their updated rankings for the Top 20 teams in each class of girls and boys high school basketball. The Owatonna Huskies boys have been on a roll lately and are rated #19 in the biggest schools class this week.

Hayfield dropped to #10 in 1A.

Three Big Nine, three South Suburban teams in the rankings.

Class 4A has three South Suburban Conference teams in the top 13. Four Big Nine teams, four Hiawatha Valley League teams are included in the rankings.

The Rochester Rotary Holiday Classic girls and boys basketball tournament announced this week that next week will be the final Rotary sponsored event after a 34 year run.

The State Tournament will be seeded this weekend. Class A has their quarterfinal round games on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The Burros ended their season with a 19-9 recoord. Hayfield (29-0) plays Grand Meadow (23-6) Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in Mayo Civic Arena. KDHL Radio, 920 AM, 97.9 FM, FREE KDHL app will be there to broadcast if you can't make it to Rochester.

Section 1AA is loaded with Rochester Lourdes ranked #7, Lake City #13, Chatfield #15 all in the same southeast Minnesota Section.
