Over 500 bicyclists pedaled into Owatonna Tuesday as part of the Bike MS: Ride Across Minnesota fundraiser

A benefit fundraiser for Corey Casperson of Owatonna attracted hundreds of friends and supporters on Sunday.

Owatonna Hall of Fame coach Len Olson engineered another win in the OHS gym on Sunday. The main goal of the Suits versus Sneakers celebrity exhibition basketball game was to raise money for the Homestead Hospice House patient care fund. Olson's Sneakers' squad edged Owatonna Mayor Tom Kuntz's Suits squad in a close battle.

The 14th annual Owatonna chili cook-off was held Saturday at its new location, the Retrofit Company or the old Walmart building. The move left plenty of elbow room for the attendees to sample the 50 chili entries. There was also plenty of room for tables and adding a band to the event. The contest was held at Ritchie Brothers last year.

The annual Infants Remembering in Silence Turkey Trot fundraiser Thursday in Faribault featured over 1,200 runners and walkers raising money in support of those who lost a child to infant death.

I am impressed each year that three major fundraisers can be held on the same day in Owatonna and each be very successful for their organization.

Major musicals and major league sports are among the specials that come with the cakes during Saturday's 39th annual Young Life cake auction at Owatonna High School.
