The main goal of the Suits versus Sneakers celebrity exhibition basketball game was to raise money for the Homestead Hospice House patient care fund. Olson's Sneakers' squad edged Owatonna Mayor Tom Kuntz's Suits squad in a close battle.

The 14th annual Owatonna chili cook-off was held Saturday at its new location, the Retrofit Company or the old Walmart building. The move left plenty of elbow room for the attendees to sample the 50 chili entries. There was also plenty of room for tables and adding a band to the event. The contest was held at Ritchie Brothers last year.
