Organizers were forced to cancel the event that raises money for local families battling cancer due to coronavirus concerns.

Hundreds will take to the trails and streets around Owatonna Saturday, May 5 for the 10th anniversary From the Heart Run. The community effort will raise thousands of dollars to support five local families in their journey with cancer.

The weather could not have better. The course could have been flatter. Goldy's Run on Sunday was my first 10-mile run, and it was a great experience.

My daughter and I were among about 350 people who ran the cold, dark trails of Essex Park in Rochester on Saturday night. We ran in the Night Crawler 10K with temperatures in the 20s.
