Albany Girls Basketball

The Albany girls basketball team puts their 29-1 record on the line when they play Minnehaha Academy at 8 p.m. tonight in the Class 2-A State Tournament Semifinals at Williams Arena in Minneapolis.

The Albany girls basketball team has had a memorable season and could cap it with a state title this week. The Huskies won the Section 6-2-A title Friday night at St. Cloud State's Halenbeck Hall 76-50 over Holdingford.

Goodhue losses came against Class 3A State entrant Stewartville twice and top-rated Providence Academy.

Rochester Lourdes (21-8) will play 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022 against Montevideo (25-4) in Consolation round action on the Concordia St. Paul Campus.

The 2021 State Champions were the Albany Huskies with a 57-43 win over Providence Academy in the final.
