Here we are on June first, and things look hot for next week or so. So what does the National Weather Service say we can expect for the rest of the month?

The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center has released its June outlook, it it certainly looks like things in Minnesota are expected to be warmer than normal.

The normal average high temperature in Minnesota for June is 79. In July that climbs to 83, and in August the average high is 80 -- so according to NOAA we should be warmer than that.

High temperatures for the next seven days in Owatonna are forecast to between 82 and 89 each day.
