The travel blog Love Exploring recently put out a list of the most beautiful county, parish, or borough in every U.S. state. No doubt a super tricky task in a place like Minnesota.
Their goal was to find the area in each state that truly packs in the most natural beauty. They considered everything from famous cities and national parks to those under-the-radar towns and stretches of coastline that take your breath away. Some states, they said, had it all, and Minnesota definitely fits that category.
Even they admitted it was a tough call here, thanks to our never-ending supply of lakes, rivers, and lush landscapes.
Minnesota is known as the ‘Land of 10,000 Lakes’ (although it actually has 11,842) and also hosts a squiggle of the Mississippi, which weaves its way past Minneapolis and is trimmed with beaches and parks.
