After months of bracing for price hikes, whether you're looking to fly home for some quality family time or trade the snow for sand, anyone planning to fly for the holidays is in for a pleasant surprise.

When it comes to Thanksgiving travel, Minnesotans returning to MSP can breathe a sigh of relief. Fares to Minneapolis are $100 cheaper than the average, expected to cost about $337 during this notoriously busy time, according to New York Post.

As the festive season continues into Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year’s Eve, Minneapolis remains a top destination for affordable holiday travel. Fares during this period are expected to average around $362, offering a welcome break for anyone looking to reunite with family or friends for the holidays.

Domestic flights will actually be more affordable across the board. The New York Post says Thanksgiving ticket prices are expected to drop by about 6%, while Christmas flights are predicted to see an even bigger 9% dip.

If you've been dreaming of spending the holidays with family or taking a much-needed vacation, now's your chance to get there without completely breaking the bank. Talk about an awesome early present! ;)
