It’s Here! Farmer’s Almanac’s Prediction For Christmas In Minnesota
Doesn't it feel like Old Man Winter woke up super grumpy this year? It's cold. It’s snowy. It’s just plain rude, and we’re not even officially in winter yet.
Minnesotans barely finished raking leaves before getting smacked with “character-building” temps, freezing rain, and snow blowing sideways. So, now that December is rolling in like it owns the place, the big question is: what kind of mess… I mean, weather… are we looking at for Christmas?
The Old Farmer’s Almanac Just Released Minnesota’s Christmas Forecast:
I mean let's be real, the Farmer’s Almanac didn’t exactly nail the Thanksgiving weather prediction. But hey, I’m willing to give them another shot.
So what's in store for this year? Are we dealing with dreamy snow-globe vibes, brown grass and muddy paw season, OR will the roads turn into an ice rink right as you’re trying to get to to the fam?

All you white powder loving humans will be happy to know that snow is expected across big parts of the country this year, including right here in the Upper Midwest. We’re talking a classic Minnesota pattern:
Quite mild. Then... suddenly very cold. Because of course.
Expect scattered snow showers leading up to Christmas, the kind that show up right when you’re loading gifts into the car.
Travel could effected a bit before the holiday as the snow moves through. After that? Some sunshine might peek out, but don’t get too comfortable. The cold snaps are ready and waiting to do what they do best. Again.
So if you’re heading anywhere, plan ahead and pack the extra mittens. This year’s Christmas forecast isn’t looking extreme… just very, very Minnesota.
