Popular Rochester, MN Store Announces Unexpected Closure – Here’s What We Know
Last week we learned that Legacy Toys had shuttered its Rochester, Minnesota location due to lack of sales. Now, we are hearing of another store that has decided to close in the Med City.

Newer Store in Rochester Just Announced It Is Closing
February 1st, 2023 was a challenging time for many brides in our area. Mestad's Bridal and Formal Wear, which had been open in the area for over 40 years, filed for bankruptcy. Doors were closed and a note on the front door had an attorney's phone number that could be contacted.
Shortly after the chaos and confusion set in for brides, it was announced that Celebrations Bridal was working with the trustee and bridal companies to help get the special orders delivered.
Sadly, this company that saved the day for so many brides in our area is saying goodbye to the Rochester area.
Celebrations Bridal & Formalwear Announces It Is Closing The Rochester, Minnesota Store
The bridal store that stepped in to help brides in our area just announced some sad news on Facebook:
Important Announcement from Celebrations Bridal & Formalwear Dear Rochester Community and Surrounding Areas, It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of our Rochester, MN location by June 1st. After much consideration, we've decided to close our doors and begin a new chapter. We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from this wonderful community over the years.
The store originally opened in the old Mestads location near the Hy-Vee in the Barlow Plaza. It made the move to 3160 Wellner Drive NE towards the end of 2024.
