The Faribault Flannel Formal is a celebration of everything Minnesota, highlighted by lots of hot-dishes, and lots of flannel. Sounds just about right. You betcha!

The big event takes place on Saturday, March 1st this year at the Craft Beverage Curve in Faribault.

Jump in with both feet to take in live music by Buffalo Alice, lumberjack games and competitions, best-dressed lumberjack contest, photo booth, keepsakes, hot-dish tasting and contest, and all kinds of adult beverages to enjoy.

The 2025 Faribault Flannel Formal Deets

  • Date: Saturday, March 1, 2025
  • Time: 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
  • Location: Craft Beverage Curve (22 4th Street NE, Faribault)
  • Tickets: 21+ event, $25 in advance, $31 at the door

Take Part in the Hot-Dish Contest

Defend your grandma's hot-dish recipe by making and entering in in the 2025 taste-test competition. Here are the rules:

  • Participants should prepare approx. 6-7 quarts of hot-dish
  • Contestants are responsible for supplying all their own utensils, heat sources, etc. DON’T FORGET AN EXTENSION CORD!
  • A heat source is required to maintain a safe serving temperature: State guideline= 140 degrees.
  • Hot-Dishes need to be ready to serve by no later than 5 pm (Set-up starts at 3 pm).
  • Contestants must be available to serve their hot-dish.
  • Tasters & Judges will be given 4oz. of each hot-dish.
