Parade Day Brings Candy And Smiles To Granite City [PHOTOS]
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- It may not have been a grand day, but it was a pretty good day for a parade on Saturday. Granite City Days was in full swing at 10:00 a.m. with the annual parade down 6th Avenue North and West St. Germain Street.

How Many Total Entries and How Many Bands Were in the Parade?
There were 62 entries in this year's procession that included three marching bands, numerous dignitaries, floats, and 10 first-time entries. There was plenty of candy for the kids as well as ice treats, balls, and frisbees being handed out. The rain held off for the entire parade, and the muggy temperature didn't dampen anyone's spirits either.
Saturday also has the downtown patio party and Panstock. Granite City Days wraps up on Sunday with the Fred Yiran African Arts Festival from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lake George.
