
Zumbrota Apartment Residents Displaced After Fire
Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Fire Marshal's Office is assisting in the investigation into the cause of a fire this morning in a building housing both a business and apartments in Zumbrota.
According to the Zumbrota Police Department, officers and firefighters from the Zumbrota Fire Department were dispatched to a report of a structure fire at Main Street Laundry at 30 East 3rd Street around 7:30 AM. Zumbrota Ambulance was also called to the scene, where the first officers to arrive found the back of the building leading to second-floor apartments fully involved in fire.
Firefighters Search Building, No Injuries Reported
A news release indicates that Zumbrota firefighters immediately began attacking the blaze while searching the building for any occupants. No injuries were reported, but residents of the upstairs apartments have been displaced by the fire.
