Lake City, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Lake City man is facing a felony drug sale charge after the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office reported seizing large quantities of hallucinogenic mushrooms and marijuana wax and other drugs including fentanyl.

Charges filed against 23-year-old Noah Gernes say deputies executed a search warrant at a Lake City residence in the 500 block of North Lakeshore Dr. on November 23. Gernes and a man identified as his roommate were home at the time of the raid.

Deputies reported finding over a pound of hallucinogenic mushrooms spread out in each of the men’s bedrooms. Authorities also discovered an estimated 11 pounds of substances suspected of being marijuana and marijuana wax, an undisclosed amount of fentanyl-laced ecstasy with capsules to consume it, $80,000 in cash, drug sales notes and scales in the common area of the residence, according to the complaint.

Court documents indicate a Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office Detective will plan to testify that the items seized in the raid indicate drug sales. Gernes was arraigned in Wabasha County Court on one count of felony First-degree sales Tuesday. 

Gernes has since posted $100,000 conditional bail. He is due back in court on December 12.
