
Alcohol-Involved Rollover Crash in Fillmore County Sends Young Man & Woman to the Hospital
Wykoff, MN (KROC-AM News)- An Independence Day rollover crash in southeast Minnesota sent a young man and woman to the hospital.

The State Patrol responded to the accident in Fillmore County around 2:15 Friday afternoon.

Pair of Young Minnesotans Hospitalized Following Alcohol-Involved Crash Near Wykoff
The rollover crash happened at the intersection of Hwy. 80 and Fillmore County Rd. 7, which is about nine miles northwest of Preston.
The man and woman were in a sedan heading west on Hwy. 80 when the vehicle left the two-lane highway and rolled, the state crash report says.
The State Patrol identified the driver as 25-year-old Johnathan David Lyons of Twin Lakes, MN and the passenger as 21-year-old Shelly Elizabeth Bush of Albert Lea.
Both Lyons and Bush were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says.
Lyons had alcohol in his system at the time of the crash and both of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts, according to the state crash report.
The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the rollover crash.
